Simple Present Tense in Simple English:

The simple present tense helps us talk about things that happen all the time, regular actions, and facts that are true. When we use it, we don't need to say when the action is happening. We use the base form of most verbs, like "eat" or "play," for most subjects. But, for "he," "she," or "it," we add an "s" or "es" to the verb. We can also use "do" or "does" to make questions and negative sentences.

Examples:

She eats dinner every day. (Regular action)
Cats like to play. (General truth)
He doesn't watch scary movies. (Negative sentence)
Do you like pizza? (Question)
So, the simple present helps us talk about routines, truths, and habits, whether it's happening now or all the time.
