India's Chandrayaan-3 Probe Lands Near Moon's South Pole

In historic first, the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft touched down softly near the moon's south pole at 1233 UTC on Aug 23, according to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). India is now the fourth country to stick a lunar landing, after the United States, the former Soviet Union and China.
