Monkeys are primates belonging to the suborder Haplorhini. They are known for their intelligence, agility, and resemblance to humans. Monkeys can be found in various habitats around the world, including rainforests, savannas, and mountains.

There are around 260 different species of monkeys, categorized into two primary groups: New World monkeys and Old World monkeys. New World monkeys are native to Central and South America, while Old World monkeys inhabit Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Monkeys have diverse sizes, ranging from the tiny pygmy marmoset, which is around 4-6 inches tall, to the Mandrill, which can reach up to 3 feet in height. They have long tails, grasping hands, and feet with opposable thumbs, allowing them to climb trees and maneuver through their environment.

These intriguing creatures exhibit a wide range of behavior and social structures. Some monkeys live in large troops, while others prefer smaller family.
