Kyiv Faces “Very Organised Resistance”, Russia & Ukraine Joint War Casualties Touch Half A Million

Ukraine is taking heavy casualties in its ongoing counteroffensive against Russia, according to reports in the American media. ABC News interviewed two former US soldiers who fought in Ukraine this year as foreign mercenaries to gain an understanding of ground realities.
According to these two former US soldiers, the Ukrainians are up against "very organised resistance" from Russian troops. The men were contracted to a special forces division of the Ukrainian military and identified only by their callsigns. he soldiers said they were both injured during an operation in eastern Ukraine in June 2023, with Ukraine’s counteroffensive well underway. The men said their team's mission was to seize control of a village on the outskirts of Russian-controlled Donetsk city. One of the men, identified by the callsign “Tango,” said his unit, comprising "dozens" of men, took "85% casualties."
