Police Violently Attack Striking DHL Delivery Drivers

DHL delivery drivers were violently arrested while peacefully striking last month in Rhode Island. Picketers were attacked by police in riot gear and suffered broken ribs, a fractured tailbone & concussions.The drivers have been on strike since June.

The DHL drivers work for subcontractor Northeast Transportation. They are striking over low wages and prohibitively expensive healthcare. The striking workers tell us that they make just $18 an hour, while drivers that work for DHL directly make closer to $30 an hour.
