The Jordan DeMay Story - Sextortion - Social Media Dangers - Suicide - Intv. John DeMay

On March 25, 2022, 17-year football star and prom king Jordan DeMay was targeted and became a victim of sextortion by a three-man Nigerian scam ring. In a matter of 6 hours, Jordan was contacted via Instagram, coerced into sending a compromising photo of himself, then blackmailed into sending the money in exchange for not distributing the image to Jordan's family, friends, and those on his social media account.
Scared and alone, Jordan sent several small transactions totaling $300.00 to the sextortionists. The originally requested dollar was $1,000. but Jordan didn't have that. As a result, Jordan felt like he had no choice but to take his own life that night.
The three Nigerian men responsible for the sextortion ring in Jordan's case are Samuel (22 yrs.) & Samson (20 yrs.) Ogoshi and Ezekiel Robert (19 yrs.). The Ogoshi brothers have already been extradited to Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Ezekiel Robert is currently awaiting his extradition. All three men have been charged with conspiracy to sexually exploit minors, conspiracy to distribute child pornography, and conspiracy to commit stalking through the internet. Additionally, Samuel Ogoshi is charged with sexual exploitation and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor resulting in death.
