Baby Emu Is Determined To Befriend A Cat, Doesn't Take No For An Answer

Unique friendships are a sight to see, especially when the combination is of two species that would probably be mortal enemies in different circumstances. When you see a dog and a cat, or cat and rodent, or even a monkey and a parrot, watching them interact like they are one and the same can be a very satisfying experience. They really make you think if we humans can do something about our relations.

Here we have an unlikely pairing of soon to be friends. Soon-to-be, because it seems like the cat is pretty dead set on spending some time alone, at least just for the moment. Speedy the baby emu seems captivated by Fritz the cat, but, in typical cat fashion, Fritz doesn't need any new friends.

The cat is, foremost, obviously older, and older cats really do love their alone time, but this little big bird just wants to have fun. It is almost like when a younger sibling wants to play with the older and just will not take no for an answer. Give it some time, Speedy!

We all know that from time to time that there are some cats that like to be left alone. Those types of cats aren't exactly too kind to making new friends. Each to their own, right?
