Our hips have the same potential for injury as our shoulders as they both move in multiple planes. But our hips aren't the only joint on our lower body that moves in multiple directions. Our ankle joint does also and if you are going to include squats into your lower body training. Then we need to include the spine as another joint that moves in multiple directions.

To warm up the spine we are going to use two exercises. The first one is the cat/cow and the second one is the bent knee iron cross.

For the muscles of the hip we are going to do a glute bridge, X band walk and a lateral squat. We didn't forget our ankle though as we also will do a mobility exercise for our ankle.
