The Four Watchwords of Mothers

This sermon begins by establishing four watchwords for good mothers, namely - sacrifice, nurture, intrepid-perseverance, and anchor - and examines these good qualities. Then the sermon turns and looks at anti-mothers - those women who do the exact opposite of these good qualities. The sermon includes a look at the life of a young woman who had a mother of this ill kind - one Lady Jane Grey who was executed at age 16 for her fealty to Christ - a fealty which she exhibited in spite of how badly her mother treated her.
