I have done a full vCheck on the car and it all checks out – I can supply a copy. (much more comprehensive than an HPI check)
The engine is really strong and is capable of 40MPG on a run, which is astounding for such a quick car. It’s got a very fruity exhaust note, sounds great.

Air con works perfectly.

Reason for sale is that I bought this car as a YouTube project, this was supposed to be sponsored content but the sponsor pulled out after I’d purchased the car and started working on it, I’ve put hours and hours into the car but I’ve completely run out of money having been made redundant from my day job and just need to get my money back out of the car. Given the reason for sale the price is non-negotiable. The car is now overdue an automatic gearbox service (costs approx. £200), I would also recommend you get the gearbox reset at the same time as when it’s fully up to temperature it can be a bit jerky when first pulling away in 1st and when first in reverse. This is a very common DSG quirk and a gearbox oil service reset and “adaptations” will generally cure the issue in most cases. It shifts through the other gears up and down perfectly and given that the issue is temperature dependent suggests it’s oil-related and a simple enough fix.

I would also strongly recommend getting the cambelt done. Despite the previous owner claiming that it had been done, there is no evidence of it and if it is the original cambelt it’s now getting on a bit. The book recommends doing it at 115,000 miles but I think it would be wise to get it done now given its age but it’s up to you of course.

The car is a bit tatty in places, a couple of alloys need a refurb and some marks on the exterior, rear bumper has a few marks and probably needs a respray or a scrap yard replacement may be cheaper, and a small piece of rubber trim around one of the side windows has a deep mark and probably needs replacing.

The interior has been cleaned thoroughly (it’s in one of the YouTube videos!), it’s had a good once over with the machine polisher but it needs some TLC to get it finished to a good standard and I just don’t have the time or the inclination to keep going with the project and I really need the money back out of it to help pay the bills.

This is easily worth £6,500+ when it’s all finished so could be a good money-making opportunity for someone with some time and skills.
