On tonite’s Sunday deep dive we get into
Modisett and son Alexander Texas single malt. Finished in mourvedre barrel
This is batch 1
Bottled at 46% abv
Aged 30 months.

On the nose light floral note with a hint of malty ness and slight biscuit

On the taste it’s an upfront sweetness that morphs into a tart apple and slight toffee. A youthful spring of ethanol

On the finish it’s a bit of cola and a slight grape ness. (Duh wine finished)

All and all this is a good malt I feel a bit young it feels tight. The flavors that are there are good. I think a say 5 years this will be a great American single malt.
And they have a new tasting room in fredericksburg Texas right on Main Street.
I’m excited to see the growth of this distillery, here’s to a bright future.

As always Keep your spirits up
