Wisdom, Biblical Counseling

Who among us is truly wise? Who has the greatest insight to make the right decisions in life? One can be a scholar and have a Ph.D. in Philosophy or Psychology and still be only an educated fool, with a personal life and spiritual life in turmoil. The Lord says, "for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He catches the wise in their own craftiness; and again, the Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile" 1 Corinthians 3:19-20.

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy" James 3:17. Jesus was the perfect example of this. "Christ...the wisdom of God" 1 Corinthians 1:24. And if we are to also be wise, we must follow His example.
