The National Citizens Inquiry testimony of Suzanne Brauti, a single mom of 3 children and a government worker.
Suzanne was starting a new chapter in her life after her divorce and went back to school. She was thrilled when she got a job with the government because it offered her security and stability in her new life. She was happy and confident about her work performance.
When the mandates started, Suzanne seeked both medical and religious exemptions. She suffered from paralysis on the left side of her body from a neck injury, but her doctor refused a medical exemption. The religious exemption was also denied. She filed all the necessary forms to her employer on three separate occasions. She had been working at home and done PCR testing 3x a week but was still denied an exemption. Suzanne filed complaints with her union and the human rights board.
She fought for unemployment benefits and won after her ROE stated she was let go for misconduct.
Suzanne is disappointed with the lack of consideration and how she received misleading information. The government posted daily messages about equality, diversity, and inclusion. Those messages had no effect if this was allowed to happen.
Suzanne is still waiting to hear back from her union and the human rights board.

The covid restrictions and mandates hurt many Canadians. Please listen to their stories.
