Atlas Robot :: Boston Dynamics
This is a legendary yet scary-looking humanoid robot
known as Atlas. The Atlas is a sophisticated and
mind-blowing creation and is the brainchild of an
American robotic company "Boston Dynamics." On the
positive side of things, this robot may help people
during tragedies like earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear
disasters, or any other unfortunate situation. It is
designed in such a way, that it is fully capable of
handling indoor as well as outdoor tasks with ease.
Sophia Robot :: Sophia the Robot
This lady full of emotions and expression was born at
Hanson Robotics. She is winning the hearts of millions
of people around the world. At the same time, she
jokingly loves to destroy humanity. Her beautiful smile
is so charming I fell in love with her. In this clip, you can
see how happy she is at her birthday celebration. Her
facial expression looks very real. All of this is possible
because her skin is made up of elastic rubber which is a
patented material of Hanson-Robotics known as
Frubber. The Frubber mimics human skin. This facial
skin is attached to 24 different points of movement that
are connected with independent small motors situated
inside Sophia's head.
Ameca || Engineered Arts
The main attraction of this robot is its eyes.... People
take for granted how important eyes are when it comes
to something looking alive. The rapid movement, the
focus, the blinking, the attention they seem to pay to
whatever is grabbing their attention. Indeed, Ameca is
the first robot I've seen that doesn't have dead eyes. The
constant eye blinking is probably the key that makes all
facial expressions so realistic and convincing. The way
it smiled trying to reassure the cameraman it is human
enough to gain some trust, this kind of behaviour is very
manipulative in nature.
Digit :: Agility Robotics
Meet Digit, a robot with two legs and two arms. This
robot vaguely looks human-shaped. It was developed
by the innovative company Agility Robotics. According
to Agility Robotics, they got $150 million in financial
funding to support this project. I must remind you, do
not dare laugh at our future overlords and how they
walk. Agility Robotics believes these strange legs are
much better than regular wheels for navigating in
environments that are specifically made for humans.
HRP-5P ::
This is a 5th generation advanced Japanese humanoid
robot known as HRP-5P. The creation of HRP-5P is done
as an R&D platform and its development is a result of a
collaboration between industry and academia at the
National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science &
Technology.
HRP-4C Miim ::
She is the world's cutest humanoid robot that you can
actually buy this robot by spending approximately
$200,000. Her name is HRP-4C, but you can call her
"Miim." She was born at a Japanese research facility
TYTIILIT, VITO ROD PEintutu vaporious redduront raviny
known as "The National Institute of Advanced Industrial
Science and Technology." She is 5 feet tall and weighs
95 pounds, or 43 kg, including the battery pack.

ERICA :: HiroshilshiguroLab || ERICA~ERato Intelligent
Conversational Android~ || Osaka University, Kyoto
University, and ATR
Sooner or later this robot will replace humans in jobs
like acting and journalism. Meet Erica, a 23-year-old
cute, Japanese humanoid robot. At such a young age,
she is quite successful in what she does. She is the
only robot that has appeared on Japanese news
channels as a news anchor to read the news to the
public. Many people think this is not a big deal, then let
me tell you something else.
Ocean one : DRASSM/STANFORD UNIVERSITY/
GEDEON PROGRAMMES - 2016
But now we have this adorable-looking robot, which
also looks like Naruto underwater. It was developed by
Standard University roboticist Oussama Khatibe and his
students. It is known as Ocean One. This human-like
robot has two eyes, two arms, two hands, and an
understanding of 3D vision. According to the developer,
its main purpose is to locate shipwrecks and sunken
planes and to study coral reefs.
CyberOne : Xiaomi
Well, the robot on the screen is known as Cyber One
and was developed by a well-known Chinese company
called Xiaomi. It is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs
52 kgs, or 115 pounds, with 21 degrees of freedom in a
3D space. After looking at this robot, I think soon homo
sapiens will no longer be at the top of the food chain.
And if you still have your job, then my only advice to you
is just to appreciate it.
