Critics argued Joe Biden prosecutor Jack Smith carried out an attack on free speech and civil liberties the likes of which are only seen in authoritarian countries like Turkey.

Smith won an order from the most biased and anti-Trump judge on the D.C. Court – U.S. District Court Judge Beryl Howell – to execute a search warrant on Donald Trump’s Twitter account.

Twitter contested the order on the free speech grounds that Smith sought to bar the company from notifying Donald Trump that a prosecutor working on behalf of Trump’s chief political opponent wanted to snoop around his Twitter account.
“Although Twitter ultimately complied with the warrant, the company did not fully produce the requested information until three days after a court-ordered deadline,” the Democrat judges wrote. “The district court thus held Twitter in contempt and imposed a $350,000 sanction for its delay.”

Trump blasted the move as the latest extension of Joe Biden and the Democrat Party’s war on the First Amendment.

“Just found out that Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ secretly attacked my Twitter account, making it a point not to let me know about this major “hit” on my civil rights. My Political Opponent is going CRAZY trying to infringe on my Campaign for President. Nothing like this has ever happened before. Does the First Amendment still exist? Did Deranged Jack Smith tell the Unselects to DESTROY & DELETE all evidence? These are DARK DAYS IN AMERICA!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Republicans contend the point of the January 6 witch hunt is to arrest as many Trump supporters as possible and criminalize opposition to the Democrat Party.

Conservatives believe Smith wants to hunt around Donald Trump’s Twitter direct messages in the hopes of finding more Trump supporters to investigate and prosecute.
