Maui 2: Death Trap?

A witness at the scene who escaped the fire on foot said people were told to evacuate in their cars—but as the fire quickly approached, they were blockaded from driving to safety on the otherwise empty road in front of them—effectively trapped in their cars where they perished.

The Policeman blockading the cars told the witness he was “under orders” to keep the cars there.

What’s the story? Well we don’t know because the place is sealed off and tightly controlled—and they’re not saying much. More to come.
