Pursuing Sprites Amidst Electric Skies

Paul Smith, a dedicated enthusiast of the nocturnal sky and a skilled photographer, has a fervent passion for capturing sprites – the colossal bursts of luminance that dance far above thunderstorms. In October of the previous year, he undertook the role of guiding Dr. Burcu Kosar, a scientist from NASA, along the less-traveled paths of Oklahoma, facilitating her firsthand experience of capturing one of these remarkable phenomena.
