On August 5, 2023 a Denver police woman shot dead 36-year-old Brandon Cole, after he threatened her with a marker pen.

Given that Cole's marker pen certainly could not inflict deadly force harm, was the officer guilty of an unlawful killing in her shooting of Cole?
