Lahaina Begins the Long-Term Recovery Process

Lahaina teacher Kumu Kamaunu Kahailii lost his house and his school to the fires that devastated Maui. He says many displaced residents found hotels to use as temporary shelter. He said FEMA, however, needs to specify just how long those displaced families are allowed to stay.
