Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ3&ナックルズ Sonikku za Hejjihoggu Suri & Nakkuruzu?) is a game that combines elements of Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, released by Sega in 1994.

Dividing the game in 2, with some increments in Sonic & Knuckles, would be a strategic marketing move, as Sonic & Knuckles could come with Lock-On technology, enabling the emergence of new games. Soon, Sonic 3 was cut in half and split and added to Sonic & Knuckles.
