White feminism attack on Dawn Butler proves Forde Report right.

Labour's anti-black racism is on show again as right wingers come for Dawn Butler & thus proving the Forde Report right.
Right, so Labour MP Dawn Butler, she who got thrown out of parliament for calling Boris Johnson a liar, because how dare people speak truth to power, has written a book coming out later this month, called a Purposeful Life, an autobiography from being the daughter of a baker, to working as a trade unionist, being elected to parliament, just the third black woman to do so, following on from Diane Abbott and Oona King, but it is Butler’s experience of racism that features in her book that has already made it and her a talking point, a blatant example of white feminism as it happens and given who it’s coming from it’s all a bit rich. Now Butler being a black Labour MP, she’s a target and has been for racists her entire life, her book will detail such examples of this, she’s taken them head on and won’t back down. She is a Labour MP I genuinely admire and some might argue she’s not necessarily a classical leftie, I would necessarily agree with that assertion, she was loyal to Corbyn, she’s a party loyalist first and foremost, but that doesn’t mean she’ll take bad policy and just accept it, nor does it mean she’ll take abuse, even from her own party and accept that either, and it’s an interview she gave the Guardian, that has had certain people on the Labour right, racists in my opinion, squealing. The excerpt reads: ‘In 2016, at the height of the factional fight to remove Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the Labour party, Butler, who was a close ally of Corbyn, received a request to produce a report collating everything she had done to date as chair of the Women’s Parliamentary Labour party. Butler does not know who was responsible for the request but, to her knowledge, it was the first time in the history of the Women’s PLP that a chair was asked to do so. And what was a report supposed to prove exactly? The played-out racial stereotype of laziness? As a Black woman, I am no stranger to hurdles appearing out of nowhere and having to go the extra mile to prove myself, but this assignment felt like a slap in the face,” Butler writes. Still, she asked a staff member to produce an 11-page, double-sided document. Later, Butler writes, she found out that a coup to remove her as chair was being orchestrated by Harriet Harman and Jess Phillips, both of whom were critical of Corbyn’s leadership. According to Butler, the chair usually steps down after a conversation to agree a change and a “civil handover” after about two years. Butler had been doing the role for a year and believed she was doing the job well. She says that just before she went into a meeting, a whistleblower called and said they were coming for her. She writes that she found herself walking into an ambush. “There were fake smiles and niceties at the meeting, although it felt more like an execution,” Butler writes.
