The Man Behind the Moonikin:Arturo Campos

A moonikin is a type of mannequin that NASA uses to test the effects of spaceflight on human-like bodies. Moonikin Campos is the name of the moonikin that will fly on the Artemis I mission, which is an uncrewed test flight of the Orion spacecraft and the Space Launch System rocket around the moon later this year. Moonikin Campos is named after Arturo Campos, a NASA engineer who helped save the Apollo 13 crew from a disaster in 1970.
