ALSO: Trump has announced that he is going to present incontrovertible proof of the rigged 2020 election in Georgia. BOOM

With this act, he has completely upended the dynamic. BOOM

I wrote earlier that Trump previously assiduously declined to directly engage the deep state in battle. But he clearly has goaded the deep state into the flurry of indictments now before four courts of law. Recall he said, not long ago, that he was one indictment away from winning the 2024 election.

I believe he meant exactly that. Literally. Precisely.

The deep state calculated that by ramming indictments through courts run by activist judges, before juries loaded with Trump haters, that they would be able to secure convictions that would somehow prevent or disqualify him from taking office, or even running a campaign.

Now, I think these plans and machinations are poorly conceived and executed, but I do think that they represent the deep state’s last-ditch emergency procedures ahead of the 2024 campaign season.

Having goaded the deep state into the four indictments, Trump has pulled them into combat on unfavourable (for them) terrain with no feasible way to escape the battle. He has done as Sun Tzu advised, and only engaged the enemy in a place and time of one’s choosing, and only after preparing one’s own army and that of the enemy for that battle.

Now Trump has gone deeper and followed Sun Tzu’s advice to use deception and subterfuge rather than armed engagement whenever possible.

Trump’s announcement that he is going to present his incontrovertible proof of election rigging in GA puts the slow-witted DA in a terrible position. She can ignore the matter and allow Trump to present his case to the country and the entire jury pool (not good). Or she can attempt to constrain Trump from doing so by getting some judge to spit out an injunction. This would ensure, at a minimum, an immediate appeal on 1st Amendment grounds to a higher court (even worse, for her).

In other words, Trump has seized the initiative, is guaranteed winning outcomes no matter what the deep state does, and has opened an entirely new and likely unexpected flank in this battle.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg. The procedural and jurisdictional can of worms opened up by these four indictments is mind boggling. The web of evidence for each of them interconnects with the evidence for the other three. Attempts by one judge to silence or suppress information will face disclosures of that information (and more) in other courts. Gag orders in one court will be defeated by public testimony in others, etc.

The deep state has the advantage of some sympathetic judges, prejudiced jury pools, and maniacal prosecutors, but they are still constrained by legal processes and the threat of appeals. There are limits to their ability to react to an unchained Donald J Trump. They thought the familiar territory of deep state lawfare was going to work again.

Boy, were they wrong!

So now, Trump is going to present his case to the entire nation, and I am pretty sure he has a good show planned. And if they try to stop him, he is very likely going to destroy their case before they even got a chance to grab his mugshot.

Given the rather heavyweight status of the other defendants in the GA case, I expect to see some further flanking maneuvers in support of Trump’s primary efforts.

Interesting times. BOOM
