Here is an advance level tutorial in CATIA V5. This tutorial shows how to design a shock absorber in CATIAV5. All the features have been created by using shaft commands.This part has been designed such that dimensions of each feature can be adjusted independent of the other features. This has been achieved by referencing each feature to the axis system and/or construction lines.
