Episode 1429: The Assumption of Mary

I wasn’t able to do episodes on the 13th-14th and so I will list the feast days I missed and the feast day for this most important Marian feast day on the church calendar the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

On August 12th Bishop Anthony Spinosa said mass for my brother Anthony’s intention. My brother died a year ago the 12th.

August 13th St John Berchman need to do an episode.

August 14th the vigil of the Assumption to the Blessed Mother into Heaven and St Maximillan Kolbe and I need to do an episode as well.

August 15th the Assumption of Mary or what is the call the Dormition of our lady.

So let’s discuss the Dormition of the Theotokos, also known as the Dormition of Mary or the Assumption of Mary, is a Christian feast day that commemorates the end of the earthly life of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. According to tradition, Mary died a natural death, and her body was later assumed into heaven, both body and soul.
In the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Dormition is a major feast day celebrated on August 15th. According to Orthodox tradition, Mary fell asleep in the Lord and was then taken up into heaven by Jesus. This event is seen as a fulfillment of her unique role in salvation history and is celebrated with great reverence.

In the Roman Catholic Church, the Assumption of Mary is celebrated on August 15th as well. The dogma of the Assumption was officially defined by Pope Pius XII in 1950, stating that Mary, "having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory."

The Blessed Mother is our General in the War against this modern culture of Rebellion and Revolution.
