Moving is exciting!
But leaving a home you love can be hard.

Here are 4 ways you can find *closure* while saying goodbye.

1. Have a custom house portrait. Then frame and display it in your new home.
My family did this when we moved and it has been a wonderful reminder of our first home.

2. Host a farewell party. Invite friends and family over to reminisce about the good times you’ve shared in your home.
3. Take cuttings of some of your prized plants with you. Then you can replant them in your new garden.

and Lastly
4. Write a letter to the new owners. Include some favorite memories—this gives the new owners hope and shares your joys with new owners.

We are still in touch with the young couple who bought our home of 22 years. They just had a baby and shared a picture of her playing in our old living room.
