DAY 88 in 100 Days Fasting and Prayer, TUESDAY 15TH AUGUST 2023

Topic: THE MIRACLE OF MULTIPLICATION.

Scriptures from New King James Version:
2 Kings 4:1-7, A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbours—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.” So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”
Matthew 14:13-21, Feeding the Five Thousand. When Jesus heard it, He departed from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself. But when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities. And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.” But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.” He said, “Bring them here to Me.” Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Mark 6:30-44, Feeding the Five Thousand: Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves. But the multitudes saw them departing, and many knew Him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to Him. And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things. When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late. Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.” But He answered and said to them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to Him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?” But He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.” Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass. So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all. So they all ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.
Mark 8:1-9, Feeding the Four Thousand:
In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And if I send them away hungry to their own houses, they will faint on the way; for some of them have come from afar.” Then His disciples answered Him, “How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?” He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven.” So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude. They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He said to set them also before them. So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets of leftover fragments. Now those who had eaten were about four thousand. And He sent them away,
Matthew 15:32-39, Feeding the Four Thousand:
Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.” Then His disciples said to Him, “Where could we get enough bread in the wilderness to fill such a great multitude?” Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few little fish.” So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left. 38 Now those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. And He sent away the multitude, got into the boat, and came to the region of Magdala.

Meditation and summary on the above scriptural passages:
Our God is good and He has power to increase and multiply whatever you have according to His will. Note that to increase or multiply it presupposes that you must have something at hand or you are doing something already which he will increase or multiply. In 2Kings 4:1-7, the scripture says that Elisha asked the wife of one of the prophets whose husband was dead who came to see him for help, what she has. She told Elisha that she has little oil in the jar and Elisha told her to go and borrow empty jars from her neighbours and privately with her son fill the empty jars with the small oil in the jar. She complied and did what Elijah told her to do. She filled all the available jars from the small oil until there was no more empty jar remaining. Child of God, endeavour to find something doing no matter how little and the Lord will multiply it. In Matthew 14:13-21 and Mark 6:30- 44 Jesus fed 5000 people with 2 fishes and five loaves of bread. Also, in Matthew 15:32-39 and Mark 8:1-9, Jesus fed 4000 people with seven loaves of bread and four fishes. There was something already available which He multiplied. Find something or start doing something and after this program the Lord will multiply whatever you are doing suddenly and instantly in a magnitude that will be too difficult for words to express, in the name of Jesus.

We take on our PRAYER POINTS

For that reason, in Philippians 1:19 for he know that through our prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to him will turn out for his deliverance. We intercedes as it is written in Colossians 4:3 And pray for Zionites, also, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which we are in battles. Almighty God! According to your Word in Deuteronomy 33:26-27, “There is no one like the God of brother Ebuka Obi, Who rides the heavens to help His servant, and in His excellency on the clouds. The eternal God is prophet Ebuka’s refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, and will say, ‘Destroy!’ Again Father, your word says in Psalms 105:15, “Saying, touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” We decree and declare!
