Staying in a Mud House in Dharamshala, India 🇮🇳 | Family Travel India

Jonathan is back! Thank you to everyone for reaching out with well wishes. In this video, we leave our hotel and head to an Airbnb. Listen to the description of how it is listed online (Jonathan reads it to you in the video); you will also want to go, as well. It sounds magical, and for us, we felt it was. We didn’t know that we needed space to spread out until we got to this house after six weeks of traveling nonstop. This Airbnb is made of wood and mud. The host has been amazing, informative, and accommodating. Honestly, he has thought of everything with this home, and you will see this as you listen to him give us a tour of the home. This homestay comes with a cooking service, and the chef is amazing. Each day we choose a few items from a menu, then the chef buys the ingredients and cooks us a fantastic dinner.

If you visit McLeod Ganj or Dharamshala, consider staying at this spacious Airbnb. Within a few blocks, you will find the grocery store, a laundry service, a few restaurants, and access to taxis (though the homestay host will help you find a taxi service so you can visit the temples, the cricket stadium, waterfalls, or even to get to the Triund trail).
