Kerch Bridge: Why did Ukraine attack with Missiles that they knew would be shot down?

Kerch Bridge was attacked, but perhaps not hit. Why would Ukraine waste resources? It wasn't a waste. By firing missiles at the Kerch bridge, Ukraine gained at least three things. Hitting the Kerch bridge in Crimea would only have been icing on the cake.
