Anytime you buy Nintendo hardware or software, you can accrue My Nintendo coins, either platinum or gold. The former Club Nintendo, MyNintendo offers some cool digital and physical items you can redeem your points towards. I had 800 points about ready to expire, so I needed to pick something up.
