How to Achieve Perfect Solder Joins

I mention it every time I am soldering in my videos and I will continue to do so. I can't emphasise enough how important tight joins are when soldering.
A tight join soldered with pressure applied will be the neatest and strongest join possible. You will need the minimum amount of solder which saves money, the solder will flow nicely and completely fill the join easily, the join will be very easy to clean up and it will be of no concern when polishing. As there is no gap filled with solder its extremely unlikely to show during polishing.
Often my solder joins on the inside of ring shanks require only 1 light tap with a hammer on the ring stick then its ready for papering. By learning this correct technique you will save time and money at the bench!
