That dandy Professor Sycamore theorized that Mega Evolution could only be achieved if there was a strong bond between a Trainer and its Pokémon, but what if I told you that was all a lie spread by the people of Kalos.

Playing through Pokemon Sun and Moon and scrolling through the Rotom Dex I've found out that Mega Evolution might not be as cracked up to be as it appears. From losing all feeling in your muscles to being swallowed hole by a Shellder its not a pretty picture. Sit back and relax while I list off my top five disturbing Mega Evolution Pokedex entries. And hey, opinions are like buttholes everyone has one, so leave your thoughts down below.

Mega Kangaskhan's strength derives from the mother's happiness about her child's growth. Watching it grow up keeps her spirits high. Hmmm...that doesn't sound too bad does it, you say? Well, thanks to Mega Evolution, the childs growth is unnatural. And as the child is good only at fighting and nothing else, its mother feels uneasy about its future. Way to go ripping a tear between a mother and child you wretched cur.

I think this is taking brains over brawn way too literally. As a result of Mega Evolution, Mega Alakazam's power has been entirely converted into psychic energy, its hidden psychic power has been unleashed. A single glance at someone gives it knowledge of the course of that person’s life, from birth to death. That's freaking scary. However, this increase of power has come at a terrible price, it has lost all strength in its muscles. So it can't even walk now. No lie somebody get this boy a sandwich.

Probably the most depressing Pokemon on this list, the excess energy from Mega Evolution spilled over from Mega Glalie's mouth, breaking its jaw. No wonder its always exploding the poor thing must be in horrendous pain. It spews endless blizzards, enveloping prey in its mouth, freezing them instantly. But its since its jaw is dislocated, it's unable to eat them. Forcing Mega Glalie to starve to death.

Sometimes being overzealous can come back to bite you in the ass. Anyone standing in the path of Mega Salamence gets sliced right in two, while this Pokémon continues its flight without interruption. You wanted it to be stronger, but is this want you wanted you sicko. Mega Evolution only fuels its brutality, forcing them to even turn on the Trainer who raised it. It's rightly been dubbed "the blood-soaked crescent."

It was erroneously referred to as the first Pokemon to ever Mega Evolve. Black streaks are all over Mega Lucario's body showing where its aura and the energy of Mega Evolution intermingled and races through them. It readies itself to face its enemies by focusing all its mental energies. I wonder if the excess of power has forced Mega Lucario to discard its emotions. Mainly because its fighting style could be summed up in a single word: heartless.

Those are just the tip of the iceberg. I don't know if these are the official Alolan Pokedex entries for Mega Pokemon or if its just the Rotom Dex doing whatever it wanted.
