Northrop Grumman Launches 19th Cargo Mission to the International Space Station

On August 1, 2023, Northrop Grumman successfully launched its 19th resupply mission to the International Space Station (ISS) under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services-2 (CRS-2) contract. The Antares rocket carrying the Cygnus spacecraft lifted off from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia at 8:31 p.m. EDT.

The Cygnus spacecraft, named S.S. Laurel Clark, is carrying more than 8,200 pounds of cargo to the ISS, including food, water, clothing, science experiments, and spare parts. The spacecraft is expected to dock with the ISS on August 4.

This launch marks the 10th anniversary of Northrop Grumman's Cygnus missions to the ISS. Cygnus has delivered over 130,000 pounds of cargo to the ISS since its first mission in 2013.
