Journey Through Suffering

Everyone faces suffering at some point in their lives. The important part is what you will do in the face of that suffering. Today, we'll discuss the "thorns" we have and what to do with them.
2 Cor 12:7-10 (NIV 1984) “To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
The greatest gift the church can offer: GRACE.
How to deal with thorns and suffering in your life:
1. ACCEPT YOUR THORNS
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" 2 Cor. 12:9 (NIV 1984)
Acts 8:3 (NIV 1984) “Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.”
"The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you.”
2. OWN YOUR THORNS
John 1:17 (NIV 1984) “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
3. USE YOUR THORNS
Matt 5:3 (NIV 1984)“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Luke 7:47 (NIV 1984)“Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven -- for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”
