....we start this week with a little bit of our harvest so far, and some pickled gherkins, pickled beetroot, pickled onions and some jam that my wife has made....we have cropped a load of potatoes, the last of the onions (except the ones we are leaving to go to seed) and started cropping more of the tomatoes....then on to the main veg bed, where there are parsnips, leeks, lettuce, radishes going to seed, more leeks and some newly planted potato bags next to the last row of spuds to get pulled....then we go over to the brassica cage, where my wife pulled the beetroot this week (and pickled it), more leeks, some kale, both doing really well, and some sprouts and cauliflower (not doing so well 😂)....back through the timber store/ shed, and round to the back of the big greenhouse, where the chard is still a carpet and the tree spinach is nearly 8 feet tall now....in the greenhouse the peppers are coming along, as is the chilli plant and some tomatoes just ripening....outside, the gherkins are pretty much done (and pickled), the carrots are doing ok( we had the first baby carrots out this week, they were really tasty) and a second flush of pickling onions is coming up too....in and around the little greenhouse the tomatoes are coming along really well and up to the main crop spuds that I mounded up in the bags today....and lastly back to the porch where the Agapanthus is looking amazing....been too wet to do any mowing this week, which is a mixed blessing as it will take twice as long next time I get a sunny day....that's all for this week folks....
