See Joseph As A Type Of Jesus:
Watch now and see how Joseph was a foreshadowing, a picture and portrait of Jesus.
His tunic was dipped in blood and we see in Revelation that Jesus is clothed in a tunic dipped in blood.
His brothers convinced their father, Israel, that he was devoured by a wild animal.
In Psalm 22:16 (verse 17 in the Hebrew Bibles), it originally said, "They pierced my hands and my feet", but it was changed around 1000 CE or AD to, "Like a Lion". This is what we see in Joseph's prophetic story because they lied to Israel about Joseph. They told their father Israel to examine the tunic to see if it was Joseph's.
Today many expert scientists have examined the Shroud of Turin, and they have concluded that it was a Jewish man, who was crucified from the time of Jesus, and that he had the same wounds as Jesus. They are also perplexed by the image on the cloth, the burial garment that looks like Jesus. They cannot explain how it got there because it shows evidence of a bright light that put an image on the cloth.
This speaks of what we see in Joseph's story as they told their father to examine the garment to see if it is Joseph's.
