Share. Subscribe. Basic Equal Distance Magnification is one of several methods to prove that light years do NOT exist. Take the Sun. You've been told that the Sun is 93M miles away. That means it is at a magnification of 1 (one) when looked at with the naked un-aided eyes.. 93M divided into 1 billion = about 10.75x magnification. There are 1,000 billions in 1 trillion. So that, 10.75x times 1,000 = 10,750x magnification needed. It is a physical impossibility to see anything that far away, at that magnification with the un-aided eyes. And, that's only 1 trillion miles. a light year is 6 trillion miles. Light years do NOT exist.
