A Soyuz-2-1b/Fregat rocket will launch Russia’s first mission to the Moon since 1976. The robotic lander is supposed to touchdown north of Boguslawsky crater near the south pole of the Moon. Luna-25 has eight scientific instruments on board including a mechanical arm and bucket that can scoop up lunar regolith.
