Robot security guard deployed to patrol Ohio sidewalks

An Ohio shopping mall is incorporating advanced AI technology into its security team by deploying a 400-pound robot security guard.

Referred to as “our secret agent man” by Stacie Schmidt, Crocker Park’s Vice President of Marketing, this autonomous addition has become a new member of the security team at the open-air shopping mall.

Crocker Park, situated in Westlake, a suburban area approximately 15 miles from Cleveland, draws nearly 10 million visitors annually and accommodates 1,000 residents in upscale apartments.

This month, the management at Crocker Park introduced SAM, a 420-pound, 5-foot-1 robot developed by California-based robotics firm Knightscope, Fox News reported.
