It was the morning after
As the sun shone through the clouds
They searched in vain through sorrow and pain
It was more than god should allow
As they rummaged through their memories
Checking piles that they found
They continued their search, while praying in church
Just trying to rebound

It was the storm of its day
That brought chaos their way
While most just waved their fist
So look out below
She was a mighty big blow
The legend of the The Big Twist

Some say it was the storm of the century
Some say it was hell on the wind
While some did survive, not all were alive
Still missing from where they had been
And the looks on their faces
Told the story once known by all
With the greatest of pain, shared by all who remained
They braved the storm and proudly stood tall

It was the storm of its day
That brought chaos their way
While most just waved their fist
So look out below

Mother natures pissed
Just run and take cover
Help one another

Now the sun is slowing setting
As the rescue carries on
And this little town, is holding its ground
But its fate is not forgone
As they look into the future
At a life that will persist
They have been knocked down but they're sticking around
