Nightborne: Warcraft 3 Custom Faction/Altered Melee Showcase

In the Warcraft universe, the Nightborne are a race of Elves that used to be Night Elves but a source of power known as the Nightwell made them a unique elven species, they were led by Grand Magistrix Elisande who (and her followers) used the Eye of Aman'thul to create the Nightwell. While some leaders (like the Queen of England) stick around for decades, Elisande has been sniffing around Suramar City for ten thousand years, despite multiple millennia of existence and presumably development, Suramar isn't a metropolis that would make New York seem small (other than the fact player characters can be described as a "murder hobo", Suramar is probably safer than New York under Alvin Bragg).

It also appears the fact your troops slowly degrade when not around the "Night Aura" is representative of the fact they need Arcwine or another form of the Nightwell's energy to sustain themselves. I didn't play WOW during the 2000s so I don't really know.

Units are: Accomplice which has a ability to heal buildings for a mana cost, Envoy (throws glaives, i'm not comfortable with it's loincloth thing), Steward which is a mounted melee unit, can research the Phantasmal upgrade that can allow it to walk on air (I show this ability near the end while raiding the enemy base), Energist (a glaive throwing siege unit), Star Augur (a flying scout creature with a purple dinosaur icon), Suramar Chaperon (a flying ranged unit that can attack multiple targets at once), Courier which is a anti-air dedicated unit, Warpcaster (spellcaster that can disrupt the enemy), Preserver which has a ability to heal a large amount of health over 30 seconds but taking damage stops the healing prematurely, Spellblade (a melee oriented spellcaster), Tempomancer (has spells that slow enemy units), Astromancer, Theoretician (radiates Night Aura so your troops don't slowly disintegrate when away from your base).

Nightborne Heroes are: Animator that can summon a personal Anomaly and has abilities that can be used with it, First Counsellor which empowers (and often heals) troops, Magistrix which can use Cascade of Eternity to do a lot of area damage over a sizable area, and Advisor which give itself (and with one ability nearby friendly units) buffs.

0:00: This video showcases and examines the Nightborne custom faction of Warcraft 3.

0:26: There is also a custom User Interface with this custom melee mod, with Night Elves including what appears to be a cute, night elf lady in the bottom right corner.

1:08: The Accomplice can be turned Ethereal to avoid physical damage and gain the ability to heal buildings for a mana cost.

1:43: The Night Aura power pf the Nightborne faction heals your units at a accelrated rate, as they lose health when not around this aura.

2:26: The Refined Talent Upgrade Icon appears to depict a magical ring.

2:39: Nightborne Hero Descriptions

3:13: Turn Back into Physical form, I'm going to build some towers.

3:58: The Phantasmal ability makes your Steward walk on thin air.

4:14: You may pause if you want to read about the unique defense system of Nightborne buildings.

5:40: The Envoy ranged unit appears to have a loincloth with a ring on it, I'm not completely comfortable with this unit.

6:26: It's just healing back whatever we damage it.

6:42: The Star Augur icon looks like a purple dinosaur.

8:07: Nightborne faction description

8:25: The Nightborne Custom Melee mod Credits

9:20: The Theoretician keeps your miliary from slowly disintegrating and passively heals combat wounds

10:14: The Embrace the Night upgrade Icon appears to depict a super expensive gem.

10:59: The Tempomancer Adept Training Icon looks vaguely like a enchanted book with a swirly cover design.

12:40: The Theoretician is a nessessary unit, Their constant presence keeps your forces from degrading

13:45: Just a fair warning some hero abilities seem to pretty much lag the game to the point it pretty much crashes when storming the enemy base. I have to choose carefully.

14:22: Just a fair warning they're going to say "Research Complete" a lot.

15:17: The Arcwine Icon looks really fancy and Nice.

17:12: The Steward Takes flight.

18:36: The Cascade of Eternity is like a airstrike or artillery rain.
