The National Citizens Inquiry testimony of Drue Taylor, a young mother and business owner.
Drue had the highest respect for the health system, and when the pandemic arrived, she was hopeful for the covid vaccine.
After her first shot of Moderna, she developed symptoms that prevented her from doing her massage therapist job. She would manage 5-8 clients a day, including horses, but now could only do one or two before getting extremely fatigued and covered in sweat. Her BP was elevated, and the weakness got worse. Her doctor recommended that she not receive a second dose. However, a nurse from Alberta Health called her twice, advising her that her symptoms were not related to the vaccine. The nurse also told Drue to get the booster. Drue had never seen a doctor with Alberta Health or given them permission to see her patient files.
Reluctantly, she got the second dose, and it would be the biggest regret of her life.
Her condition has progressed to POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). She needs to use a walker at home and a wheelchair for a long distance. She has severe headaches, weakness in arms and legs, sensitivity to heat, and prone to fainting.
There is no cure for her illness, and all her doctor can do for her is make her comfortable and pain-free with medication. An adverse reaction report was filed but is still in process.

The covid restrictions and mandates hurt many Canadians. Please listen to their stories.
