Heidi the Feral Rescue Kitten: 2 Years Later 🐾

Heidi came home with me on this day in 2021. She was a feral kitten, all alone in a New York City park.

We had met the previous afternoon. She took the food I brought her, but kept hiding in the reeds by the pond.

The next day, I brought her home. Ever since, she has been happier, healthier, and has grown much bigger!

I feed her mostly raw meat, much of it freeze-dried. No foods with a bunch of fillers and additives, which are cheap, but cause common and chronic health problems over time. Our favorite brand is VitalCat!

Since I eat a human version of her carnivore diet, I also give her treats like raw ground beef when I’m cooking for myself.
