After living in Madurai for about 30 days and swimming every day, I have become quite comfortable with this area...until today.

While swimming, a man armed with a giant knife came up to me and threatened to kill me. As I got away, he ran over and took my clothing and my phone which was sitting in the rocks.
I immediately ran up to the street and tried to get help from a local person to call the police.

By the time the police arrived, the armed thief had already escaped.
