Turkish Man REFUSES to Accept Money for Lunch | Solo Travel | Darende, Turkey Travel Vlog (Ep. 14)

In today's Turkey travel vlog, I visit a small town called Darende. This place is known for an old mosque in the middle of a canyon, next to a river, and also a large swimming area in the middle of the canyon. It's a very beautiful tourist attraction for local Turkish people.

I was browsing google maps and looking for tiny towns to visit when I stumbled across this place. So I decided to randomly get on a bus to take me there.

The town is tiny but very interesting. The canyon was really organized and beautiful. I really liked the giant swimming pool (Kudret Havuzu)...I just wish the water was heated. It was super cold!

My favorite part about my 2-night stay in Darende was eating lunch at a small shop in town. We talked with each other for about 30 minutes, translating with my phone. We had some interesting conversations. The man refused to take money from me after I finished eating. I felt guilty, but I understand he was trying to be kind and hospitable. Thank you for your kindness!
