Today we are going to explore the Women’s Market – the oldest open market in Sofia.

The market offers a range of seasonal fruits and vegetables, cheese, meat, fish, nuts, dried fruits, pottery, clothes, souvenirs and other goods.

If you walk around the small streets that cross the market street you are going to come across Arab shops, restaurants, Turkish pastry shops, shisha shops, small barber shops and so on.

There are a lot of Arab immigrants in Bulgaria, and this is their quarter.

I like the style of the architecture even though the buildings need to be renovated.

It is a great place where you can meet the locals and even sample food from different countries.
