Liberal “logic” is alive and “well”

If you can kill for convenience a genetically-distinct human life in-utero, why can’t you do it ex-utero? Why is it suddenly, magically wrong to end the life of a newborn, who—like a fetus—can’t “survive on his own,” isn’t profoundly sentient, doesn’t have any deep consciousness, doesn’t “know the difference” between being dead or alive, doesn’t have anyone else relying on him for anything at all?

The difference is merely the environment. The difference is that once a baby is born, we can no longer deny his obvious humanity, the fact that he is very much a separate, distinct human life—just as he always was—and that your level of humanity doesn’t depend on your environment, how developed you are, or whether you can “survive on your own.”
