Traditions, Superstitions, Old Wives Tales and Folk Beliefs

In Isaiah 29:13 and Ezekiel 33:31 both prophets, speaking from the Lord God that the people worship Him with their lips but their hearts are far from Him and they follow their own lusts instead of Him... In Matthew 15:7-9, Jesus quoted to Pharisees this passage from Isaiah and went on to tell them they know and follow their traditions yet do not follow God...

It is very evident and saddening to think that today, even with the coming of Jesus and His Gospel, His teachings, His showing us the way to worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth, His becoming the final sacrifice for our sins, and His offering to us the Holy Spirit and Resurrection Power to become Born Again as Children of God, Citizens of Heaven with all Authority of Heaven even as we physically live upon this earth for now... We still tend to fall inline with traditions, denominational doctrines of man, and even jump on the band wagon and chase after the next best way of trying to vainly reach God... We chase after false teachers and prophets, false signs and wonders, mystical experiences and adopt false means to rid evil spirits from our lives... Like Jesus said in His letters to the Seven Church's in Revelations 2 and 3, the Church today has tolerated and accepted many forms of doctrines of demons and chasing the ways of men and again still we speak of Jesus with our lips yet our hearts are far from Him... We still follow our traditions handed down through generations. Superstitions and old wives as well localized folk ways handed to us by false gods and evil spirits... Instead of through Faith in Jesus and the Holy Spirit and Standing in the Authority of the Kingdom of Heaven in ALL Power, Boldness and Courage, we turn to these teachings of demons of superstitions and old wives tails and only fill our lives with open doors to more evil spiritual access... Burning sage to rid the home of evil spirits only opens the door for more evil spirits as it is indeed witchcraft because it making use of power that is not the Holy Spirit and Heavenly Authority... Sprinkling salt around here and there, falling into fear over seeing a black cat cross your path, walking under a ladder, breaking a mirror, all of these and more things we consider as bad luck are merely avenues of a spirit of fear to enter you... Jesus has clearly given and even commissioned us the Authority to cast out evil spirits through His Name not do little parlor tricks to remove them from our homes and lives...
