Pickles and Rain

I canned 5 quarts of bread and butter pickles this week--all from one day's picking! I gave away the next day's picking. :)

We got a brief rain shower--total of 0.3" The town north of here got 10 times that much! We didn't really want 3 inches, though. The sweet corn has ears now and that much rain plus wind would make it fall over.
