Middle Men in a failed state make the deals that provide the food, energy, clothing and other life staples that keep a population alive. Though they are often maligned for their success...their success is born in the survival of people in a region. It's easy to look at a businessman who's routinely left his comfort zone, or managed unreasonable risk, then ventured deals far beyond what anyone would expect. That middle man who builds a network of resources, knowledge and people that evolve into a thriving business are cast as glutenous villains but the opposite is true. Usually, these middle men are born through a desire to fix problems and reduce harm. Oligarchs are often miscast as miscast...it's a lazy but effective putdown. #Shorts
